Xaphoon de Catalunya / Oak

The XAPHOON DE CATALUNYA is the noblest among the Xaphoons.

Made from the native wood of Northern Spain, the XAPHOON DE CATALUNYA is the newest version of the Xaphoon.  Each of these Xaphoons is made in Catalonia by CESC SANS and his employees at the company SANS LUTHIER, a workshop specializing in the manufacture of traditional woodwind instruments.

The oak Xaphoons have a warm and clear tone. The wood is light in color and has a light wood grain. Small irregularities on the surface of the instruments are normal for the wood.

Like the other Xaphoons, the instruments can be played over two octaves. The XAPHOON DE CATALUNYA is currently only available in the C version.
